Penne Alla Vodka

The ONLY thing I mean when I say “send noods”

I’m not gonna sit here and type a whole story about this dish. I love it, you’ll love it. Here’s the recipe……

Ingredients

Penne (or pasta of choice)

1 Cup Heavy Cream

1 Cup Vodka (Tito's for me)

1 Can Tomato Sauce

1 Medium White Onion

3 Tsp Minced Garlic

Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

3 Tbsp Butter

EVOO

Directions

Cook pasta according to directions on the package….aka boil water, add pasta, wait about 8 min, and drain.

Finely dice the onion and garlic. Add to medium high pan with EVOO and 2 tbsp butter. Cook until fragrant and onions are soft—about 3 minutes. Carefully pour in Vodka. If you have a gas stove, be EXTRA careful. It may help to remove the pan from the heat and return once all alcohol has been poured. Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated, about 2 min.

Turn to medium heat. Add tomato sauce and stir. Cook until simmering (light boil). Stir in 1 cup Heavy Cream and last tbsp of butter. Add salt and crushed red pepper flakes to taste.

Fold in pasta to sauce.

After plating, sprinkle some grated Parmesan and extra red pepper flakes on top for a nice kick.

Serve and enjoy!
